Our Story

Jim started his culinary training in the late 1970’s, gaining a reputation for excellence that culminated in being named Executive Chef for a nationally known hotel chain renowned for fine cuisine and service.

After facing health struggles resulting in a near-weeklong coma, he emerged with a newfound desire to provide seasonings that would enable everyone to create the highest level of culinary excellence at home, making cooking a joyful and rewarding experience - “restaurant quality meals at home”.

Our seasonings offer a burst of flavor for beef, poultry, fish, pork, venison and wild game. Vegans love our seasonings for vegetables and meat substitutes. Our Italian seasoning creates a luscious soup base, sauce seasoning and herbs to sprinkle on your salad.

Jim’s nickname inspires our name, and our logo pays homage to his late friend, a Vietnam war veteran. For Jim, the story is about the quality and flavor of his seasonings, not about him.
